Ingredient Notes
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: This is the base for your fudge. Evaporated milk is not the same.
- Sugar Cookie Dry Mix: We’ve provided our favorite homemade sugar cookie dry mix recipe below, but a store-bought mix works great too.
- White Chocolate Chips: Choose high-quality white chocolate chips for the best flavor. Cheaper options may not melt as smoothly.
- Butter: A small amount of butter adds richness and helps in the melting process.
- Vanilla Extract: Use pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.
- Almond Extract: You can substitute this for additional vanilla extract if desired.
- Sprinkles: Classic rainbow jimmies work best.
Work Quickly
This fudge thickens quickly, so it’s important to work fast when pouring the mixture into the pan. Avoid bringing the fudge ingredients to a boil; instead, ensure everything is melted and well-stirred before removing from the heat. Once removed, quickly pour the mixture into the prepared pan and use a rubber spatula to spread it evenly. Add the sprinkles on top right away, gently pressing them into the fudge, before allowing the fudge to set.
Storage and Freezing Instructions
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap. They will stay good for up to 2 weeks.
Freeze by cutting the fudge into small bricks by dividing an 8×8 pan into 4 larger squares. Wrap each piece individually in plastic wrap, then place them in an airtight, freezer-safe container or resealable freezer bag to prevent freezer burn. Fudge can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Thaw frozen fudge in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
